Profica has been involved in the planning, design and construction of a number of mixed use developments throughout Sub-Saharan Africa. This entailed the master planning and delivery of a number of large mixed use precincts, all having their own mix of use and compatibility. A few of these developments are show cased below:

Dube Tradeport Precinct

Dube Tradeport Precinct

Dube Tradeport Corporation (DTPC) is a Schedule 3C public entity, who has been tasked with the development of the Dube TradePort precinct. The DTP precinct is located north of Durban, and incorporates King Shaka International Airport. The entire precinct covers 2840 hectares. DTPC has designed Dube City as world class freight, logistics and property facility that will create a highly competitive operating environment geared to attract investors, operators, users and tenants.
Profica has been appointed as the Project Managers and Principal Agent for an underground parking garage which is the first major development within Dube City. It has been designed to accommodate 600 vehicles and has a podium at ground level which has been designed to accommodate a future 6 storey office complex and hotel.

The Exchange - Accra, Ghana

The Exchange - Accra, Ghana

Profica are appointed as the Project Managers for a Mixed Use Development in Accra. Comprising of office, hotel, retail and residential, the Phase 1 which is under construction consists of a super basement, a Radisson Blu hotel, luxury shopping anchored by Pick n Pay as well as luxury apartments. It will boast the first pedestrian retail High Street of its kind in West Africa. Its green design will use at least 30% less energy than its peers in Africa

Garden City - Nairobi, Kenya

Garden City - Nairobi, Kenya

Profica was appointed the lead Project Managers for the construction and completion of Garden City, since early 2014, Garden City is a mixed use precinct, with Phase 1 consisting of 35,000m2 of high end shopping and entertainment in a 2 level mall, a luxury residential development, all in a public parkland.

Profica was appointed the construction project managers for this mixed-use project consisting of 1 500m² retail and 3 000m² office space, being phase 1 of a larger precinct. 

Longmeadow Farm - Fourways

Longmeadow Farm - Fourways

Profica were the development and project managers for a 14ha site adjacent to Monte Casino in Fourways, Johannesburg. The site was planned to have around 140,000m² of lettable area and was designed at the time to be a mixed-use development consisting of retail, commercial, specialist and residential. Profica managed the master planning and infrastructure planning to this prestigious precinct.
