Profica's team of highly skilled professional project managers have successfully managed both large greenfields developments as well as complex office refurbishments, including high rise integrated buildings for corporate head offices and multiple tenants. Some of our projects are demonstrated below:
Fricker Road

Fricker Road

Profica undertook project management for the construction of exclusive offices situated in Illovo, Johannesburg. Appointed by Illovo Edge Partnership, the project included a broad range of interests and issues which necessitated complex and challenging project management.  Started in 2010, the iconic structure took 20 months to complete with a team of 12 professionals.  The structure includes a basement, green building elements and high quality finishes externally and in the common areas.  


Stella Precinct - Sandton

Stella Precinct - Sandton

Profica are appointed as the lead Project Managers to manage the Stella Precinct in the heart of Sandton, the financial and business hub of South Africa. The Phase 1 of this urban re-development consists of the construction of a 8 level Super Basement (circa 160,000m2) with the first top structure for Old Mutual Emerging Markets HQ of circa 40,000m2. The precinct consists of a total of 120 000m² of GLA on a large shared super basement.

Profica were involved in managing the third and final phase of the Illovo Edge precinct. Having managed all 3 phases over a 8 year period, this last phase consists of 6000m2 of high specification office space.


 

 


Capital Place - Accra, Ghana

Capital Place - Accra, Ghana

Profica were the project managers for this award winning development, a new A grade office park in Accra consisting of 3 separate buildings. This development received the African Property Award for Best Office Development in Ghana in 2013-2014.

Group Five Construction HQ - Midrand

Group Five Construction HQ - Midrand

Profica were appointed as the project manager and tenant representative for the tenant, Group Five in the New Build of 20,0000m² lettable area for their new Head  Quarters,  consolidating all Gauteng based business units into one co-located office, with a basement parking and a central atrium linking the various building wings.

This building is a Green Building and has achieved a Green Star 5 design and as-built rating.

 

Illovo Edge Phase 2, Rio Tinto HQ - Illovo

Illovo Edge Phase 2, Rio Tinto HQ - Illovo

Profica were appointed as the project managers and principle agents for this building which houses Rio Tinto’s HQ comprises of approximately 4500m2 with a double storey office space; ground floor and basement parking. The building has a glazed curtain walled facade and has a roof top garden feature.

Altech / Autopage Development - Midrand

Altech / Autopage Development - Midrand

Profica was appointed as Principle Agents and project managers for this new build commercial office development. The project also entailed the refurbishment of the 5,000 m² existing Altech/Autopage building so that the architectural language corresponded with the new building.

12 Fredman Drive - Sandton

12 Fredman Drive - Sandton

Profica was appointed the Project Managers for the refurbishment of 12 Fredman Drive. Scope of work comprised new external facades and construction of the New East and West Entrances which included a refurbishment to the reception area. The building was re-clad with Hulabond and Curtain Glazed Walling to the New East & West Entrances as well as repaving of the entire parking lot and new perimeter fencing.

Regent Place - Tshwane

Profica delivered this 12 storey (9,000m²) base building refurbishment and tenant installation project in Tshwane. Profica were appointed by the building owner to construction manage the base building upgrade as well as the Tenant fit-out for the National Department of Sports & Recreation, who rented the entire building. 

ABSA Capital, Alice Lane Phase 2

ABSA Capital, Alice Lane Phase 2

Following the first upgrade to Alice Lane for Virgin Money, Profica was appointed the Project Managers for the fit out and upgrade of office space on two levels of 15 Alice Lane Sandton for Barclays Capital Corporate Real Estate for ABSA Capital. Our scope also included undertaking due diligences on several building options for ABSA Capital’s long term growth options.

160 Jan Smuts - Rosebank

Profica was appointed the Project Managers for the alterations and upgrade of the large office & retail block at 160 Jan Smuts, Rosebank.

Profica was appointed as the Tenant’s representatives for the construction of Fluor’s new office in Woodmead.

Alice Lane Campus - Sandton

Alice Lane Campus - Sandton

Profica appointed as Project Construction Managers for this base building refurbishment and tenant installation for a 4 storey (10,000m²) building in Sandton. The base building works entailed a re-design of the reception foyer, lift lobbies and building entrance including two spectacular water features.
