Gateway Shopping Centre
Profica were appointed as the Project Manager and Principal Agent for the extension and alterations of the Gateway Shopping Centre in Umhlanga, Durban. This includes 20,000m2 of new GLA, 18,000m2 of repurposed GLA and 32,000m2 of additional parking. The expansion is to allow for new tenants, including H&M, Forever 21 and Hamleys.
Douala Grand Mall, Cameroon
Douala Grand Mall situated in Douala, Cameroon. The centre comprises an 18,000sqm GLA retail centre with basement parking, including a supermarket anchor, entertainment facilities and restaurants. Over the next coming months, Profica’s project management team, led by Thierry Giannone, will be working together with multiple partners to bring the vision to life.
Dobsonville Shopping Centre
Profica were appointed as the Project Manager and Principal Agent for the extension and upgrade of the Dobsonville Shopping Centre in Johannesburg. The office block will be demolished to allow for the centre expansion.
Approximately 6,000m2 of retail space will be added to the existing centre with PicknPay anchoring the new extension with a 2,500m2 box. The general mall and public areas will be given a facelift and minor revamp.
Silver Valley Mall
Profica were appointed to provide Project Management and Tenant services for this green field retail shopping centre consisting of circa 13,296m2 GLA, two retail anchors tenants and ongrade parking facilities.
Asaba Shopping Centre
Profica were appointed as the Project Managers and Tenant Coordinator for the new Asaba Mall Shopping Centre with Phase 1 comprising a single anchor retail shopping mall with required 9,665m2 GLA located on a 12,287m2 GBA.
Kabulonga Mall Development
Profica were appointed as the Project Managers for the new shopping centre construction of 7,200m2 with PnP and Woolworths Anchor Tenants Situated in Lusaka, Zambia.
South Gate Shopping Centre - Johannesburg
Profica have been involved in the re-development of Southgate regional shopping centre and Value centre for over 5 years. This involved numerous upgrades and alterations, including the addition of Game (Massmart) and the relocations and installations for tenants in both the Mall and the Value centre. Profica's scope included both Construction Project Management and Tenant Coordination.
Profica are currently the lead project managers for the new expansion to Southgate, consisting of the refurbishment of circa 67,000m2 and the new build of 33,000m2 of retail GLA, with new structured parking of circa 90,000m2.
Oweri Shopping Centre
Profica were appointed as the Tenant Coordinators for the development of a 10,000Sm2 GLA which includes a total of 46 shops, an outside area and storage and service facilities.
Jabi Lakes Shopping Centre
Profica were appointed as the Tenant Coordinators for the Jabi Lakes Shopping Centre, consisting of 26,136m2 GLA (Ground & First Floor).
Profica were appointed as Project managers for the new shopping centre in Lagos which consists of a multiple story shopping centre with an upper level parking area approximately 30,000m2 GLA.
Garden City - Nairobi, Kenya
Profica was appointed the lead Project Managers for the construction and completion of Garden City, since early 2014, Garden City is a mixed use precinct, with Phase 1 consisting of 35,000m2 of high end shopping and entertainment in a 2 level mall, a luxury residential development, all in a public parkland.
Festival Mall - Lagos, Nigeria
Profica were appointed consultant project managers for the development of Festival Mall, a 12,000m2 shopping centre in Festac, Western Lagos. The mall will provide a retail avenue to all sectors in and around the Festac area. Profica's scope includes Project Management and Tenant Coordination.
Delta Mall - Warri, Nigeria
The first of its kind in the Delta region of Nigeria, the 14,000m2 Shoprite anchored shopping centre in Warri was managed by Profica, providing construction and project management services as well as tenant coordination.
FOREST HILL CITY - CENTURION
A 45 hectare mixed-use development consisting of large regional shopping centre, housing, offices, recreation & entertainment space. Profica were appointed as the principal agents and project managers for phase 1 of the development, a fast track project consisting of a shopping centre of 80,000m2 GLA (Circa 150,000m2 GBA) including the infrastructure and roads to service the precinct.
Completed mid 2014.
Gugulethu Square Shopping Centre - Western Cape
This project was a nominee for the 2010 SAOPA Innovative Excellence Project Awards.
Profica was appointed the Development and Project Managers for the this 27 000 m² Shopping Centre in Gugulethu. Involved from inception, Profica successfully delivered this new build shopping centre on a brown fields site for opening on time in October 2009.
The Glen - Big Box Extension, Alberton
Having undertaken a number of alterations and extensions to this regional shopping centre over a 6 year period, Profica was appointed as Project Managers for the extension of an additional 20,000m² retail space and an additional 40,000m² of structured parking.
A highly complex and technically challenging project working within a trading shopping centre that was delivered 5 months early.
Setsing Shopping Centre, Phuthaditjaba - (Completed December 2009)
Profica was appointed as Project Managers and succesfully completed the extensions to the Setsing Shopping centre with the opeing of a 4,500m² Game store in December 2009.
The Glen - Edgars Extension and Mezzanine Parking Deck (Completed 2007)
Profica appointed as Project Managers for and extension to the existing Edgars and a new Mezzanine parking deck. The project consisted of two areas of work, the first being the extension of the existing Edgars by 2000m². The parking lot consisted of a new parking deck (90 bays) to be placed between the lower basement and the upper level parking
Randfontein Station Retail Development (Completed 2007)
Profica appointed as Project Managers and Tenant Coordinators for the 13,000 m² retail development at Randfontein railway station. This development is one of the first retail schemes at an existing transport node and makes succesfull use of the commuters.
