Profica fit-out project showcases an evolved post-pandemic workspace

Profica’s specialist workplace solutions team recently completed a full fit-out for a global client in Johannesburg. We delivered exceptional project and cost management, MEPF consulting and design oversight services.

At the client’s request and to focus on their interests, Profica was appointed as the principal contractor for the full fit-out, providing turnkey delivery, seamless procurement and a single point of contact. The new workplace, designed based on the three aspirational pillars of lifestyle, connectivity, and flexibility, draws best practices from global offices to create a modern space that supports the evolving requirements of each team.

“The Covid-19 pandemic has been a driving force within evolving workplaces, as employees learn new behaviours, adopt new technologies and adjust to new ways of working,” explains Profica’s project lead, Russell Cloake. “For the client, the adoption of flexible work arrangements has supported a strategy to consolidate office space in an environment that truly embraces technology and functionality.”

Cloake says that working on this project with a client team that understood projects, was quick to make decisions, embraced and understood the importance of technology and had placed their trust in us as a delivery team from day one, made it an exciting and special project.

Profica partnered with the client’s design firm, Design Paper, who exceeded design expectations to deliver a fresh, creative, and evolved workspace design. The team was in safe hands with costing partners Equate, who were exceptional with the commercial management of the project. MEPF design partners Spoormaker gave the project the attention and detail it required.

“We’re proud to have been part of creating this space, now a highlight in Profica’s expanding workplace solutions portfolio,” says Cloake. “Despite the challenges, we delivered.”
